Index & Rotary Table Repair & Refurbishment

Each index or rotary table that comes through our shop will go through an extensive evaluation and repair process. Our goal is not only to repair the problem with the rotary table, but to service it as a whole, replacing any and all worn or bad parts. We are proud to offer top-of-the line refurbishments on Kitagawa, Nikkon and more.

Our repair and refurbishment process follows these steps:

Checking In

  • Rotary table is photographed and documented by our receiving department
  • Unique job number is assigned
  • Acknowledgement is sent via email
  • Table is delivered to our Rotary Table Repair Department to be evaluated

Evaluation

  • Inspect for visible damage and prepare for preliminary testing
  • Rotate axes by hand to feel for excessive backlash and tight spots to locate crash points
  • Check cables, limit switches, and clamping operation
  • Check backlash, center runout, flatness and clamp deflection with appropriate indicators
  • Evaluate the condition of servo motor(s)

Quote

Once our rotary table repair technicians generate a parts list of everything needed to get the table working properly, our purchasing department starts sourcing and pricing out each part. A quote is generated and emailed, detailing firm cost and lead time.

Repair

  • The entire unit is thoroughly cleaned
  • All bad or worn parts are replaced
  • Backlash is adjusted
  • On tilting rotary tables, geometry inspection is performed
  • Assemble and test clamping mechanism
  • Re-adjust all limit switches

  • Install refurbished servo motor(s)

Final Testing

  • Final backlash and flatness adjustments are performed
  • Complete laser test is performed to check accuracy
